Acceptable use policy
This policy describes uses of the EWS Telecommunication Services network that are not permitted. It exists to keep the service reliable and lawful for every subscriber.
You must not use the service to
- Break Philippine law, including the Cybercrime Prevention Act and the Data Privacy Act.
- Send unsolicited bulk email or messages, or operate open relays or proxies for that purpose.
- Attack, scan, overload or gain unauthorised access to any network, system or account.
- Distribute malware, or host content that infringes copyright or other rights.
- Resell or redistribute the connection beyond the subscribed premises without written consent.
- Tamper with EWS equipment, or alter or spoof network addresses assigned to you.
Network management
We may manage traffic to keep the network stable for all subscribers, and may suspend a connection that is attacking others, is compromised, or is degrading service for neighbours. Where practical we contact the subscriber first.
Enforcement
- First we contact the subscriber and ask for the issue to be corrected.
- Serious or repeated abuse may lead to suspension, and then termination under the subscriber terms.
- We cooperate with lawful requests from regulators and law enforcement.
Reporting abuse
Report abuse originating from our network to noc@ewstelcoserv.net. Include timestamps with time zone, IP addresses and relevant logs so we can trace it.
