Subscriber terms
These are the main terms on which EWS Telecommunication Services provides fibre internet service under the EWS Fiber brand. They summarise the subscription contract each subscriber signs; where this page and your signed contract differ, the signed contract applies.
The service
- Fiber to the Home (FTTH) internet connection, with a guaranteed minimum of 50% of the subscribed speed and 90% service reliability.
- Service is provided in Rodriguez (Montalban) and San Mateo, Rizal, subject to coverage.
Lock-in period and early termination
- Subscribers pay an installation fee and commit to a twelve (12) month lock-in period.
- Ending the service within the lock-in period incurs an early termination fee, calculated from the remaining days of the contract multiplied by the monthly rate, plus any outstanding equipment costs.
Billing, overdue accounts and disconnection
- A Statement of Account is sent five (5) days before the due date.
- An overdue notice is issued if payment is not received by the due date.
- A disconnection notice is sent seven (7) days after the due date, and you have fourteen (14) days to settle.
- Disconnection takes effect automatically on the fifteenth (15th) day.
- There is no reconnection fee, but billing continues while the account is unpaid; outstanding balances must be settled to reconnect.
Equipment
- Modems, routers and switches provided are not included in the monthly payment.
- Equipment must be returned within one (1) week of disconnection; EWS may retrieve it.
- Subscribers must not tamper with EWS-provided equipment without prior consent.
Transfer and relocation
Transferring an account requires the written consent of EWS. A relocation service charge of PHP 500.00 applies, and the account must have no delinquent balance.
Limitation of liability
EWS is not liable for damage or viruses affecting your devices, and does not guarantee uninterrupted access.
Indemnity
- Violation of these terms and conditions.
- Violation of any third-party right, including privacy and intellectual property rights.
